Our Screening Process

At Haya Support Services, safety and trust are our highest priorities. All preferred candidates must:

✅ Provide a clear NDIS Worker Screening Check

✅ Hold a current Working with Children Check

✅ Provide two professional references for verification

✅ Complete an identity check

Our People / Our Team

Our support workers and care professionals:

  • Are passionate about empowering people with disability and supporting their right to live meaningful, fulfilling lives

  • Take a person-centred and rights-focused approach, ensuring dignity, respect, and choice remain central to their work

  • Understand and apply the principles of the NDIS Practice Standards, Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities, and the Disability Act 2006

  • Can collaborate effectively in a team environment while also working independently when representing Haya Support Services

  • Bring diverse experiences in supporting individuals, including those with complex needs or behaviours of concern

  • Hold relevant qualifications ranging from Certificate III/IV in Individual Support or Disability to higher education in Community Services, Social Work, Nursing, or Psychology (depending on their role)

  • Recognise and uphold confidentiality, cultural diversity, and inclusive practice

  • Are committed to following individual care and support plans, including person-centred plans, behaviour support plans, and individual goals

  • Hold a current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle

  • Possess a clear NDIS Worker Screening Check

  • Maintain mandatory certifications relevant to their role, such as First Aid (Level 2) and CPR
